As many of you may know, today President Obama held a “Snowball Summit” in Alabama. Obama and the Alabama governor discussed the latest on the BP oil spill…over snow cones. I always knew snow cones had the power to bring people together. Now look! They are the future in political agreements and diplomatic negotiations. Next month, the headlines will be: “Barrack Obama and Mahmoud Ahmadinjad sign Snow Cone Peace Agreement” You know, Barrack, maybe if you OFFERED Mahmoud a snow cone, this whole “nuclear weapons” thing could all blow over.

Dear Economics,

We have had some lovely times together—telling Adam Smith jokes and making fun of that crazy Keynes guy (government invovlement, who does he think he is??). But, my dear econ, I’m sorry to say I have to end our relationship. Every time I let you back in my life, you only stab me in the back once more. Economics, you are not the man I thought you were. You put up this “cool guy” facade, but you are only a killer of fun and happiness. You have lead me on! I have given you too many chances— it is time for us to part.
